Traditional Chinese Medicine is based on the Taoist tenet of balance. Much like the natural world that surrounds us, the human body exists in a healthy and harmonious state when all opposing, yet complementary forces within it are in balance with each other. The goal of Chinese Medicine is to foster a state of internal balance through Acupuncture, herbal medicine, massage, exercise/movement, dietary therapy and lifestyle counseling.
The beauty of Chinese Medicine is reflected in its focus on the individual, rather that just the elimination of a particular symptom. At the Center for Complementary Medicine, each individual is viewed as a whole entity, where diagnosis is based upon the differentiation of the internal patterns of imbalance unique to that person.
Congratulations on taking your first step toward balanced health!
