About Lyn

Lyn Swirda began her study of the human body while at Boston University, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in 1987. Integrating her knowledge of anatomy and physiology with Traditional Chinese Medicine, she earned her Acupuncture licensure in 1995 and her Master’s degree from the New England School of Acupuncture in 1996, where she has been a faculty member.

For the last 22 years, Lyn has maintained a private practice in Brookline, Massachusetts, “The Center for Complementary Medicine Inc.” She has cultivated strong relationships with many physicians, fertility specialists and complementary medicine practitioners allowing her to offer a broad referral network to her patients. Through extensive training and many years of experience, Lyn has gained knowledge in the area of women’s health, including menstrual disorders, recurrent miscarriage, and infertility. She has assisted many women in conceiving and maintaining healthy pregnancies whether conception happened naturally or while using assisted reproductive technology (ART/IVF).

Recognized as an authority on the treatment of Infertility using Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture in the New England area, Lyn has been a featured speaker at Boston IVF, The Fertility Center of New England, Resolve of New England and Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare. Lyn has been a frequent guest on local television (Chronicle: the Insider’s Guide to New England), news, radio, and is often quoted in print for her knowledge and expertise in the field.

Lyn is currently writing a book on the treatment of Infertility, integrating the mind, body, spirit relationship for optimal fertility. The book is a compilation of her years in practice, sharing her knowledge and wisdom of women’s health and reproduction, through the lens of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
